Our story began with a quiet question.
TrimBay Design Lab grew from a small studio in San Francisco where designers kept asking how generative tools could serve craft instead of replacing it. Today we teach thousands of thoughtful creatives to integrate AI with confidence, ethics, and precision.
Mission
We exist to make generative AI education practical, ethical, and immediately useful for working graphic designers. Every course, template, and workflow is built around real client projects rather than abstract demos.
Guiding principles
- Craft first: AI serves the designer, never the other way around.
- Ethics in every file: copyright, consent and transparency are non-negotiable.
- Client-ready outcomes: we ship working deliverables at the end of every workshop.
Teaching principles
Process before pixels
We teach structured prompts, workflow diagrams and review loops before any generative output.
Ethics first, speed second
Every lesson includes clear attribution guidelines and client communication scripts.
Repeatable systems
We never teach one-off tricks; we deliver documented, version-controlled frameworks.
